Brian
Adcock Scotland Brian Adcock began his professional career
as a cartoonist in 2000 when he moved to Prague in the Czech Republic and
started working for The Prague Post. He is now the editorial cartoonist for the
Scotland on Sunday and in 2006 came runner-up in the "cartoonist of the year"
category at the Scottish Press Awards. He has also contributed cartoons to Punch,
The American, The San Diego Tribune and The Guardian as well as illustrating the
Czech comedy classic novel, Saturnin. |

Esteban Hernández Guerrero, known as Ares, is an internationally acclaimed
cartoonist living in Havana. His drawings have won hundreds of awards in world
cartooning and satire competitions. He was born in 1963 in Havana and went on
to become a professional psychiatrist. He currently works for the popular daily
Juventud Rebelde (Rebel Youth). Ares has taught courses and spoken at conferences
on cartoon humor in Cuba and abroad. |

Bateup Australia Ross Bateup is an architect, urban designer
and city planner in addition to being a freelance artist. His political cartoons
appear regularly in Adelaide, Australia’s The Advertiser. Bateup is a 2006
finalist for the South Australian Media Awards for 2006. |
Joep
Bertrams Netherlands Joep Bertrams is an educator and award-winning
book illustrator as well as a cartoonist. After many years of teaching middle
and high school and working as a set designer for youth theater companies, he
began creating editorial cartoons in the ‘80s. His 1989 book, Johan Edelgans,
was received to wide acclaim. |
